Secondary School Credit Programming

Anglophone Program
To be eligible for this program students must be 19 years of age or
older (some exceptions may apply).
This program provides instruction at LBS Levels 1 through 3 (with some
4 and 5) in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as an introduction
to computers.
Upon completion of the program clients will have the prerequisites to
enter more advanced literacy training, adult training programs or to
enter/re-enter the workforce.
Regular group hours: Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm
I. Basic literacy and numeracy assessment
II. Workshops on time management, resume writing, interview techniques,
etc. (by HRDC)
III. Guidance in setting long-term goals and an individualized training
plan
IV. Services to special needs groups
V. Hands-on computer work with literacy software
Partner in a seamless transition to adult education and employment programs
Simply drop in or call the Program Coordinator, Monday to Thursday,
9:00am to 4:00pm

Credit Program
To be eligible for this program students must be 19 years of age or older
(some exceptions may apply).
This program offers Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 courses and credits leading
to a secondary school diploma.With a secondary school diploma the student
may choose to attend a post-secondary institution, study at a distance
(e.g. Contact North), or enter/re-enter the workforce.
Classroom setting, 10 to 20 students
Regular hours are 9:00am to 11:30am, and 12:30pm to 3:00pm, 5 days per
week, 47 weeks per year - Guidance services from a caring, supportive
staff.
Flexible scheduling - Tutorial support is available

Francophone Program
This program is designed for Francophone adults who are 19 years of
age or older (some exceptions may apply), or people who require French-language
upgrading.
The program offers comprehensive upgrading in French.
(LBS Levels 1 to 5 - reading, writing, and mathematics), and an introduction
to computers.
The starting level is based upon assessment.
Upon completion of the program, students will have the prerequisites
for admission into an adult training program or they may enter/re-enter
the workforce.
